PERMANENT MEMBERSHIP
To apply for Permanent Membership of AGS, please go to the AGS web site,
click on "Applications and Forms", and read about the requirements. If you
wish to apply, please submit the application to Mr. Quevedo at his office
(Math Complex 37) during office hours or under the door if he is not there.
Please do this the week of April 24th, (as soon as possible) so that
you can receive the Permanent Member Certificate in time for the Banquet
on May 19th. If you wish to purchase the Permanent Member gold kase Official Badge for $15.00, submit a check payable to "AGS" with your application.
MAGIC MOUNTAIN
This Social Event is scheduled for Saturday, April 29th. You will need to buy
your own One Day Pass thru the Magic Mountain web site or you can purchase a Season Pass thru a Ralphs Market where a "Value Book" may also be available (ask store for details). To be eligible to receive Social Event credit, you must submit the A.S. Field Trip Forms which
are available for download at the AGS web site. At the main page, click on "Applications and Forms", and download either the "Rider" forms or the "Driver" forms. If you will drive other AGS members, then you must also submit a copy of your driver's license and automobile insurance. These forms should be turned in to Mr. Rodas at his office (Math Complex 38) on Monday, April 24th during office hours or under his office door.
AGS ELECTED POSITONS
Soon AGS will be holding nominations for elected positions. If you may be interested in serving on the executive board, it would be a good idea to begin asking questions about the position, type of work and amount of time involved.
Candidates should plan to attend the Awards and Installation Ceremony (Banquet) on Friday, May 19th at the Elks Lodge in
Santa Monica. Newly elected officers will be asked to attend the last executive board meeting on Tuesday, May 23.
EARNING A TRANSCRIPT NOTATION
There is only about one month left to complete all club requirements to become a certified member of AGS for Spring 2006,
so hopefully you have made great progress toward satisfying all requirements.
